By EricD90291 - Loved it!
This is the best collection of travel stories I have read to date. The author has a unique way of, matter-of-factly, putting you right into the time and place of each adventure. You might even call many of the stories laugh out loud misadventures! If you're into "where the day takes you" traveling, Baja or off-road, this is a must read!

If you'
re a dirt bike rider or off-road racer that goes to Baja or not, you will love these stories! I can't wait for his next book.

By L-Dogg - Great Read! Hilarious!
Mildly interested at first but once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. Anyone that has been or is planning to go to Baja must read this. So many places, So many adventures, So many funny stories. Great tales of racing and surviving in Baja California Mexico. What a Journey.

About the Author:

The author Elias Vidal, born in Peru, South America as Luis Elias Peralta Vidal, arrived in the United States with his parents and sibling in 1954. Elias (Lucho) didn't speak a word of English except to say, as he often likes to point out, "I only knew two words in English, "Yes" and "No." However, it didn't take him long to learn English. "I loved sports and wanted to play, but I couldn't understand what the coach and other players were telling me. I was also a good student but could not show them. At first I was embarrassed, but my father and mother did not allow me to have any excuses or to feel sorry for myself. 'Learn the language as fast and as pure as you can. Show them that you are an educated person.' My parents kept driving the point across and it worked. Before long I became a good communicator and a pretty good Jock." Within six months, Elias was conversing with his friends, coaches and teachers. However, little did he know or expected that one day, he would become a musician, playing in Rock 'n Roll, Jazz and Country and Western bands and clubs; develop into a fine film and television actor, produce and direct movies and television and turned out to be an author, writing a number of articles for publications, publishing three sporting magazines, developing a number of scripts, and recently finishing his first fictional novel. At the tender age of 68, he is still learning in order to keep his mind fresh, and continues to tell some of the most exciting experiences of his life. Not the least important in his life, he manages to stay one step ahead of the "Night Stalker," "The Grim Ripper," or Señor Muerte.
